Position Overview:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Lead Clinical Research Coordinator within our esteemed School of Medicine. This pivotal position is designed for those with a strong background in clinical research management and coordination, particularly in the acute care sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our clinical research initiatives and supporting our dedicated researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Research Management: Oversee the coordination and regulatory compliance of a diverse portfolio of clinical studies, ensuring adherence to all relevant guidelines and protocols.Team Leadership: Act as a senior coordinator, guiding and mentoring junior staff while fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth.Training and Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new clinical research coordinators, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage their responsibilities effectively.Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with principal investigators, study teams, and external sponsors to facilitate seamless study execution and communication.Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance of study records, adhering to the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.Protocol Implementation: Participate in the feasibility assessment of new research protocols, identifying potential challenges and collaborating with stakeholders to devise effective solutions.Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state regulations, ensuring all research activities comply with institutional policies and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
