Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to conduct thorough palliative care evaluations and develop care strategies.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to equity, fairness, and cultural awareness in delivering palliative care services to a diverse patient population.
- Utilize prescriptive authority judiciously to manage complex symptoms, including responsible stewardship of opioids and controlled substances.
- Provide palliative care services through various methods, including in-person consultations, video calls, and telephonic support.
- Engage in extra-clinical activities aimed at enhancing education, clinical ethics, team dynamics, quality improvement, and innovative practices.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to establish and expand a leading palliative care service line.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Care
- Current licensure or ability to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
- Work visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
