Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team at J Gross Inc. In this role, you'll work closely with our pharmacists to assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, provide excellent customer service, and support various pharmacy operations.   • Medication Dispensing: Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, including medication history, allergies, and current treatments. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational documentation standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers to discuss and resolve medication-related issues. Collaborate with other pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications. Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including maintaining confidentiality and following ethical practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical care and safety.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Licensure: Valid and active pharmacy technician license in Michigan. NOTE: License not required to apply, but employees in this position will be expected to obtain a pharmacy license within one year of starting.
  • Experience: Experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred (not required). Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, empathetic, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
