Job Summary

Food Lion is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Perishable Department Associate to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of product quality and safety, and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the Perishable Department
  • Process and prepare products for sale, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise
  • Operate a cash register and handle customer transactions
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales and customer service goals
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
