About the Role

Covenant Health is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Women's Services unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, including fetal and maternal monitoring, pain management, and patient education.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care planning and ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Implement and evaluate care plans, making adjustments as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced nurses, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit-based policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Tennessee State RN license
  • CPR certification
  • BLS, STABLE, and NRP certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in labor and delivery nursing
