Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and lead a team of process technicians to ensure they have the necessary training, direction, and evaluation to perform their duties effectively.
  • Process Development: Develop and maintain process standards for the production of all parts, ensuring that they meet the required quality and reliability standards.
  • Process Optimization: Verify and apply narrow ranges for optimum process conditions to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Review production and operating records to identify and resolve technical processing issues, and develop action plans to address any deviations from established processes.
  • Project Management: Specify project management and buy-off new equipment to ensure that it meets the required standards and is properly integrated into the manufacturing process.
  • Process Improvement: Manage the exploration of new materials and processes to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability, and comply with data and analyze past and current information to assist in the preparation of the budget.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with tool shops to ensure that all tool repair and maintenance is performed to the required standards.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in injection molding with presses ranging from tons.
  • Master root-cause troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with valve gate, hot runner, and scientific injection molding principles.
  • Desire to be hands-on and lead a team.
  • At least 2 years of automation experience.
  • Strong work ethic with the desire to overcome challenges and obstacles that arise on a daily basis.
  • Direct experience leading a team.
