Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer 2nd Shift to join our team at Yanfeng Automotive. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of injection molding processes, working closely with production management, quality control, and maintenance teams to plan and modify process activities to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain process standards for all parts manufactured
  • Review production and operating records, and resolve technical processing issues
  • Implement new methods and procedures to improve operations, minimize costs, and optimize labor and material utilization
  • Manage exploration of new materials and processes to achieve best quality, process, and reliability
  • Compile data and analyze past and current information to assist in budget preparation and reduce operational costs
  • Work with tool shops for all tool repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain documentation closely, following necessary timelines on specific projects

  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work additional hours and/or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time
  • Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers, and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive at designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote)
Required Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience with injection molding with presses ranging from tons
  • At least 2 years of experience within the automotive industry
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces
  • Master-root cause troubleshooting with problem solving
  • Experience with valve gate, hot runner systems, and scientific injection molding principles
  • Desire to be hands-on and overcome challenges that arise on a daily basis
Preferred Qualifications
  • RJG Master Molder 1 and Master Molder 2 training
  • Problem solving training
Work Environment
  • Often exposed to distracting sounds and noisy conditions
  • Personal protective equipment is required
  • Works closely with others, perhaps within a foot of another person
  • Work is indoor in a manufacturing setting that may not be temperature controlled
