Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the Marine Carpenter encompass a range of tasks, from analytical duties such as interpreting blueprints to practical tasks including the construction and repair of ship components. Specific duties may include:
- Reviewing building plans and architectural schematics.
- Selecting appropriate materials for construction.
- Measuring and cutting materials to precise dimensions.
- Constructing frameworks and installing interior and exterior cladding.
- Fitting windows, staircases, and doors.
