Job Summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a skilled Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning, inspection, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash, inspect, package, and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Maintain accurate monitoring records
  • Use and interpret chemical and biological indicators
  • Perform cleaning of sterilization equipment
  • Assist OR personnel in locating and reprocessing instruments
  • Participate in performance improvement activities

Requirements:

  • Previous operating room technician or central supply technician experience preferred
  • Previous surgical instrumentation and equipment decontamination and sterilization experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills, initiative, and ability to take independent action
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • CSP Certification (CRCST or CBSPD Certification) required
