About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS Manager to join our team at OnKure, Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing our payroll processing, benefits administration, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management:
    • Oversight of the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees
    • Maintenance of payroll records and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
    • Management of payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, and other relevant payroll processes
    • Reconciliation of payroll reports and resolution of any discrepancies or issues that arise
    • Collaboration with the Finance department for payroll-related financial reporting, audits, and equity benefit processing and reporting
    • Response to payroll inquiries from employees and resolution of any payroll-related issues
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Management and administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other voluntary benefits
    • Compliance with benefits regulations such as COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA
    • Oversight of the open enrollment process, including communication, education, and system updates
    • Coordination with benefits providers and vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies
    • Analysis and review of benefits programs periodically to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness
    • Assistance to employees with benefits-related inquiries and claims issues
  • HRIS Management:
    • Oversight of the maintenance and integrity of employee files and data, ensuring accurate data entry, system updates, and user access
    • Generation and analysis of HR reports, metrics, and dashboards to support decision-making and strategic planning
    • Training of users on HRIS functionalities and best practices
    • Work with HRIS vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues or enhancements
    • Ensure data privacy and security within the HRIS in compliance with relevant regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefits compliance
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll software
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary and Benefits:
