We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapeutic Specialist to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of our biologic product.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Scientific Knowledge and Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our biologic product and its applications, as well as the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers.
- Build Strong Customer Relationships: Foster strong working relationships with specialist customers, including allergists, pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and business/office managers.
- Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to generate sales, including product educational programs and in-services for customers.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, payer relations managers, medical, and other functions within GSK to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies.
- Manage Allocated Resources: Effectively manage allocated resources, including financial resources, to achieve sales goals.
- Provide Outstanding Customer Service: Respond to customer requests, inquiries, and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences, business, or healthcare.
- Experience: 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales/medical device sales experience, with a strong track record of success in sales and customer engagement.
- Travel: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, with occasional overnight travel up to 30%.
- Valid Driver's License: Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle, as driving is an essential function of this role.
- Specialty Products Experience: Experience working with specialty products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution.
- Payer Reimbursement Experience: Expertise in working with payer reimbursement managers and understanding the reimbursement landscape for specialist customers.
- Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales Experience: Experience in biologic, rare disease, or respiratory sales, with a strong understanding of the therapeutic area and customer needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, with a strong understanding of the roles and responsibilities of various functions within GSK.
