About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Control Field Director to join our team at The Cincinnati Insurance Companies. As a key member of our Loss Control department, you will play a critical role in providing valuable services to our local independent agents and their clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with local independent agents and their clients
  • Conduct risk evaluation surveys to assist in the underwriting process of new and renewal business
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with underwriters and field associates
  • Provide loss control servicing, such as training, consultation, and hazard recognition, to existing commercial policyholders
  • Prepare technically-detailed reports providing a clear assessment of risk and appropriate recommendations
  • Attend field territory sales meetings when applicable
  • Update Marketing and Underwriting associates on services status for the field territory
  • Review claims and loss trends to initiate loss mitigation efforts
  • Update agencies on services status for their clients
Requirements
  • Ability to work remotely and the flexibility to travel
  • Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and coverages
  • Ability to develop and conduct training programs
  • Knowledge in hazard recognition and control for workers' compensation, property, fleet, general liability, and products liability
  • Time management skills and the ability to work independently to accomplish goals
  • Interpersonal, consultative, and organizational skills
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools and related software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or applicable science, or related experience and training
  • Minimum of 5 years loss control and/or safety experience
  • Professional designations such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or Certified Risk Manager (CRM)
