Job Overview

Rosendin Electric is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager I to join our team. As a Project Manager I, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion, ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize projects under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.
  • Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers, planning, coordinating, and resolving problem areas.
  • Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact, assess the scope of work, schedule, and resources necessary to complete a project successfully.
  • Prepare complete estimates for selected projects, including detailed reviews of plans, specifications, and bid forms.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
  • Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project, negotiate change orders, and monitor construction activities with onsite Foremen and Area Superintendents.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations, implement corrective measures within company guidelines, and supervise the preparation of all change quotations for presentation to prime clients.
  • Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager and manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interest.
  • Review documentation prepared by Assistant Project Managers before submission and represent the company in project meetings under the guidance of PM II or Sr. Project Manager.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Accubid and Oracle preferred.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
What We Offer
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or other related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry in a Project Management role.
  • Can be a combination of training, education, and relevant work experience.
Travel and Working Conditions
  • Up to 25% travel.
  • General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise level is typically low to medium.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
