Position Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and operational readiness of the JCC facilities by adhering to established protocols.

Core Duties:
  • Conducts thorough cleaning and sanitization throughout the premises.
  • Maintains hygiene in restrooms and kitchen areas.
  • Performs tasks such as window cleaning, floor care, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Prepares spaces for meetings and events, ensuring they are tidy after use.
  • Handles laundry duties, including washing linens and towels.
  • Ensures outdoor areas are kept clean and presentable.
  • Manages waste disposal, including garbage, recycling, and composting.
  • Executes minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or unclogging drains.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the facility as needed.
  • Assists in moving furniture and equipment as required.
  • Identifies safety risks and maintenance needs, reporting them to the Facilities Director.
  • Completes other assigned tasks as necessary.
Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate cleaning and laundry machinery.
  • Capability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility.
  • Strong communication skills, respectful of diverse backgrounds and ages.
  • Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Salary:

$18 per hour.
