Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains building HVAC and automation systems, including air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Assists plumbers, electricians, and other personnel with maintenance and repairs.
  • Prepares and maintains logs and records of equipment operations, system repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Conducts regular inspections and tests of boilers, cooling towers, and other equipment.
  • Reviews and implements preventive maintenance checklists and schedules.
  • May act as a lead person on assignments and supervise other maintenance staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the maintenance and operation of county facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of work-related experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift weights in excess of 50 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
