Quality Improvement Specialist

At the University of Delaware, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time grant-funded position that will play a critical role in supporting the College of Education and Human Development's mission to improve early childhood education and care.
About the JobThe Quality Improvement Specialist will work directly with early care and education and/or school-age program leaders to support quality improvement efforts in alignment with Delaware's quality improvement system. This includes providing on and off-site quality improvement support, organizing and documenting information related to program engagement and quality efforts, and coordinating and facilitating group meetings with early childhood professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide quality improvement support to early care and education and/or school-age programs to improve early childhood education and care.
- Organize and document information related to program engagement and quality efforts.
- Coordinate and facilitate group meetings with early childhood professionals to support quality improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with a team of quality improvement specialists to design innovative ways to connect and collaborate with the early childhood workforce and to improve overall service delivery to early care and education and school-age programs.
- Remain well-educated and up to date regarding recommended early care and education practices.
- Support the overall mission of the College of Education and Human Development through planning, coordinating, and attending committees/workgroups as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related discipline and two years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of child development, early care and education and/or school-age environments.
- Understanding and experience using adult learning principles.
- Must be detail oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools and Google suite of tools.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in collaboration and building partnerships as well as the ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Demonstrates an understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds.
