Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic exams, verifying patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient histories and document in the medical record.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, following policy for malfunctions or quality control failures.
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self, adhering to ALARA standards.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families prior to each exam.
- Contribute to the effective operations of the department, assisting fellow employees and maintaining quality assurance and quality control.
- Utilize hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACS.
- Assist in the training of students and new hires.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas, including fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic, and operating procedures.
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
- Training gained at the student level.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (within 180 days).
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (upon hire).
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association (upon hire) or ARC American Red Cross (upon hire).
