Job Purpose

This role requires collaborating with cross-functional divisions to develop automotive body structures and components in the Upper Body Design department. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing the creation of 3D models, layouts, and 2D drawings using CATIA, correlating and negotiating with internal Honda contacts, and leading part development activities with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automotive body structures and components that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional divisions to ensure design meets marketability, styling, packaging, and vehicle performance requirements.
  • Manage the creation of 3D models, layouts, and 2D drawings using CATIA.
  • Negotiate with internal Honda contacts to ensure design meets requirements.
  • Lead part development activities with suppliers to ensure design meets requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in CATIA or other 3D CAD software.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
