About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Heidelberg Materials. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance work to ensure the smooth operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Lead a team of maintenance personnel to ensure effective execution of maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Superintendent to develop and implement maintenance strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols
  • Supervise projects, including bidding, budgeting, and field supervision of contractors and plant employees
  • Provide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts, including on-call duties
  • Set and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance work, including equipment failure troubleshooting and hydraulics
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Experience in a union environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others with or without direct authority
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Attitude of pride and ownership in your work
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces, and occasionally lifting to 50lbs
  • Willingness to provide coverage during off-shift hours and weekends as required
  • High school diploma required; an Associate Degree from a technical school is preferred
