Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate the clinical and operational functions of the nursing unit
- Ensure that unit operations and employees are in compliance with regulatory agency standards and policies and procedures
- Recruit and retain qualified staff, ensuring appropriate orientation, education, credentialing, and continuing professional development
- Delegate effectively, promoting shared governance and developing research to positively affect clinical outcomes
- Perform nursing care, assist with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administer medications as necessary
- Provide and assess the effectiveness of patient and family education
- Participate in performance improvement activities to improve quality of nursing care and promote patient outcomes
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
- BLS required per policy guidelines
