About the Role:

Shodair Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our Allied Therapy team. As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals through creative and engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead groups and facilitate recreational activities that promote physical and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct recreation therapy assessments and interventions

Requirements:

  • Certification in Recreational Therapy through the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation (NCTRC)
  • Valid and current driver's license
  • Ability to obtain shallow water lifeguard certification and attend CPI training during probationary period

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children and/or in mental health settings
