KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, store, and distribute materials and products to various operational areas including fabrication and assembly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by identifying, labeling, and documenting the location of materials in the warehouse.
  • Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and trucks for the movement of materials.
  • Ensure Kitting and Assembly areas are organized and free from excess pallets and unused materials.
  • Conduct initial inspections of incoming goods for damage and accuracy in the kitting area.
  • Sort, label, and organize materials on racks, carts, or bins for upcoming production needs.
  • Retrieve and verify materials according to work orders to ensure precision and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand assembly timelines and address potential challenges.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Exhibit accountability and teamwork in all job-related activities.
  • Manage inventory locations within the MRP system effectively.
  • Perform general tasks or duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in warehouse management systems (WMS) or manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong capacity to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts, drills, saws, and hammers safely.
  • Occasional crane operation may be necessary.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Capable of reading and comprehending work instructions.
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
  • Experience in constructing skids and crates for shipment based on specifications.
  • Willingness to learn inventory management software.
  • Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic are essential.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Experience with SAP Business One is preferred.
  • Ability to make informed, logical decisions.
