Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Ochsner Health System. This individual will work in a collaborative model with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize approved medical practices to deliver patient care
- Provide education experiences to patient families, staff, and other health professionals
- Adapt behavior to specific patient populations and communicate effectively
- Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws and ensure compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant medicine or Health Sciences, or graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Training Program
- Master's degree in Nursing
- State of Louisiana License as a Physician Assistant, NCCPA Certified, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority as outlined by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
The incumbent works in a patient care area, exposed to blood, body fluid, and tissue. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
