Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff. This role requires a high level of professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients with a range of physical and behavioral health needs
- Work collaboratively with medical and psychiatric staff to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to medical staff
- Participate in health education and promotion activities to support patient well-being
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
