Role Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct oversight of a licensed Pharmacist, is responsible for processing, preparing, and delivering medications and supplies. This position involves working with various medication automation systems and requires proficiency in complex pharmacy operations, including Sterile Product Compounding and Controlled Substance Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies under the guidance of a Pharmacist.
  • Engage with multiple medication automation systems to ensure accurate medication delivery.
  • Deliver medications and supplies to designated patient care areas efficiently.
  • Handle phone inquiries and messages from multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and compliance regulations.
  • Complete all required competencies and maintain certification standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree and hospital experience.
  • Licensure: Must possess a valid Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Michigan.
  • Certification: National certification such as PTCB or ExCPT is preferred.
