Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Platinum Dermatology Partners LLC. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinic environment and contribute to the delivery of unparalleled patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing them for their examination.
  • Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the patient's chart.
  • Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing notes in the patient's medical record.
  • Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
  • Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, as well as stocking the rooms.
  • Laboratory maintenance, including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
  • Other duties as assigned to the back office.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
  • Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience is required.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong phone etiquette.
  • Teamwork.
  • Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers alike.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working on electronic medical records.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements

Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines, including computers and calculators; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
