We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive health assessments, including thorough histories and physical examinations, and order or perform diagnostic tests as needed.
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions, and provide follow-up care as necessary.
- Promote and maintain periodic health assessments and preventive screening, and provide guidance on health hazards, good health habits, and family planning.
- Manage common acute and chronic illnesses, and initiate life-saving procedures in emergencies.
- Provide clinical oversight of NP/PA trainees, NP residents, and/or new providers, and direct medical assistants, lab personnel, and other non-professional medical staff as needed.
- Participate in internal quality control audits, and maintain the standards of quality of care based on specialty and organizational standards.
- Discuss or refer complex and high-priority patient cases, and perform all duties and services in full compliance with our Service Excellence Standards.
- Board Certified in a designated specialty field of practice.
- Current medical license to practice in the State of California, including DEA license, and CPR.
- Previous experience providing medical care within a community health setting is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of medicine.
- Ability to build trust and respect with patients, staff, colleagues, external contacts, and other organizational members.
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding and commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to meet or exceed TVHC's Service Excellence Standards.
