Patient Care Technician

The University of Arkansas System is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Acquire medical history, vital signs, and lab samples from patients
- Communicate with nursing staff regarding patient changes and maintain adequate supplies
- Greet patients upon arrival and schedule, register, and check out patients
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and verify insurance coverage
- Transport patients to other areas of the hospital as needed
- Provide grooming, oral hygiene, and comfort measures, and assist patients with physical activities
- Document all patient care activities and adhere to UAMS safety plan
- High School Diploma and successful completion of PCT course within 3 months of hire
- CPR Certification (BCLS)
