Fertilizer Operations Manager

The Fertilizer Manager is a key role within Helena Agri, responsible for overseeing the fertilizer operations team, including the fertilizer setup team and truck drivers. This position requires strong leadership and coordination skills to ensure seamless operations and efficient delivery of fertilizers to customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Purchase and manage fertilizer inventory, ensuring timely delivery and optimal storage.
- Coordinate bulk storage for the tank farm, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient use of resources.
- Direct the blending of liquid and dry fertilizers, ensuring accurate formulations and quality control.
- Analyze product profitability and optimize the use of company-owned equipment.
- Assist the Branch Manager in developing marketing plans to maximize fertilizer income.
- Provide technical training to the branch sales team, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to effectively promote and sell fertilizers.
- May be required to drive a company vehicle as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three to five years of relevant work experience in fertilizer operations, logistics, or sales.
- Thorough understanding of fertilizer products, blending, logistics, and marketing strategies.
- Valid U.S. driver's license required.
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software applications.
- Knowledge of small engine and pump repair, as well as welding experience.
- Marketing experience and a strong understanding of sales strategies.
The Fertilizer Manager will work in a typical warehouse and distribution environment, with moderate to loud noise levels and occasional exposure to hazardous materials. The role requires regular use of hands, talking, hearing, walking, standing, and sitting, as well as the ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
