Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a key member of the oncology team, you will administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients with cancer or other diseases using advanced equipment such as linear accelerators.
You will work closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to provide safe and effective radiation therapy.
In this role, you will:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescriptions and treatment plans
- Position patients correctly using advanced imaging and treatment equipment
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment to ensure proper function and safety
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patients during treatments and provide supportive care as needed
- Maintain detailed patient records and educate patients about the radiation therapy process
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field
- Certification as a Certified Radiation Therapist (CRT) or Registered Radiation Therapist (RRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous experience in radiation therapy or oncology
