Job Summary

Candidates for this role will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment. This includes setting up and operating fabricating machines, shaping metal, and inspecting and assembling parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate hydraulic press brakes to form sheet metal parts.
  • Operate plate rolls to form sheet metal parts, including rectangular to round transitions and rectangular ducts.
  • Set up and operate sheet metal shears to cut sheet metal, minimizing scrap.
  • MIG weld sheet metal parts from 24 gauge to 3/8" plate, including galvanized, stainless, and carbon steel materials.
  • Understand and apply the forming process of various sheet metal parts, including pressed elbows, gorelocked elbows, collars, sleeves, tee branches, reducers, and more.
  • Operate plate rolls, spot welders, and other machines to form sheet metal parts.
  • Read and interpret assembly prints and procedures.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Trade or technical school degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
  • A minimum of four (4) years experience in welding required.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read assembly prints and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for the majority of the work day.

  • Mechanical assembly skills.

$23 - $29 / hr
