Job Summary

The Fabrication Welder is responsible for setting up, laying out, fitting, and welding together metal components of products such as pipe, flanges, extensions, and plates. This role requires identifying, manually welding, and repairing defects in welded pipe using electric arc-welding equipment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and lay out metal components for welding
  • Fitting and welding together metal components
  • Identifying and repairing defects in welded pipe
  • Using electric arc-welding equipment to weld metal components
  • Following all safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in fabrication and welding
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld procedures
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift schedule
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Certification preferred
Essential Physical Functions
  • The employee is regularly required to sit or stand; use their hands, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close and distant vision.
