Information Assurance System Security Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Information Assurance System Security Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As an ISSE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' information systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct information system security engineering activities with a focus on the lifecycle of current systems and future requirement scoping.
- Collect and process information security requirements and ensure they are effectively integrated into information systems through purposeful security architecting, design, development, and configuration.
- Employ best practices when implementing security requirements within an information system, including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques.
- Provide expert support, research, and analysis of complex problems and processes relating to information security.
- Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations.
- Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
- Develop and provide IA risk management recommendations to the customer.
- Provide ISSE support for Mission and Training systems design and development.
- Assist with development and maintenance of the Program Protection Plan.
- Assist with site activation activities and design reviews.
- Represent the customer in various ISSE related working groups, advisory groups, and advisory council meetings.
- 15+ years of experience in information assurance and cybersecurity.
- Prior performance in roles such as ISSO, ISSM, SCA, or SAP IT Technical Director.
- 2+ years SAP experience required.
- Master's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- IASA E Level II or IASAE III certification within 6 months of hire.
- TS with SCI eligibility and willingness to submit to a CI polygraph.
