Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center - We are seeking an Infection Prevention Specialist to become an integral part of our dedicated care team.

Position Overview: The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating our Infection Control Program to ensure the maintenance of an effective Infection Prevention & Control Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute the comprehensive Infection Control and Prevention Program.
  • Communicate with the Infection Control and Prevention Committee regarding any infection-related issues.
  • Maintain thorough documentation related to the Infection Control & Prevention Program.
  • Conduct monthly surveillance rounds to evaluate infection-related practices.
  • Educate staff on Infection Control Practices, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Coordinate and report on annual health surveys and maintain employee health records.
  • Review laboratory reports and manage employee exposure follow-up procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Hold a current, unencumbered nursing license and be CPR-certified.
  • Experience in wound care and infection control is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, and infectious diseases is essential.
