Position Overview:
The Town of West Springfield is in search of a dedicated individual to assume the role of a full-time Building Maintenance Custodian.

Under the guidance of the Director of Central Maintenance, this role is responsible for the thorough cleaning and upkeep of the municipal school facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
The position entails a variety of cleaning tasks including but not limited to:
1. General cleaning of windows, floors, and furniture.
2. Washing and polishing of floors.
3. Cleaning of carpets and rugs.
4. Performing minor repair tasks and painting.
5. Snow removal and additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of a standard grade school curriculum.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a custodial role.

While prior education or training from vocational institutions is preferred, graduation from high school is also acceptable.

Alternatively, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered at the discretion of the Town.
