We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities- Check in patients and record vital signs, medication history, and review of symptoms list.
- Conduct preliminary tests as appropriate based on the problem list or patient's presenting symptoms.
- Enter all data into the EMR system.
- Perform procedures without error in a timely fashion as ordered by the provider.
- Responsible for patient education, including medications, care planning, disease process understanding, environmental controls, and device teaching.
- Document specific take-home messages to the patient in the EMR system.
- Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
- Maintain sample medications and printed information for patients.
- Turn exam rooms to prepare for the next patient.
- Current Washington State LPN or CMA license.
- Completion of the 7-hour state-mandated AIDS/HIV training program.
- CPR/First aid for healthcare professionals card.
- Washington state-insured Medical Assistant certification or registration proof.
- Comprehension of EMR/HER recordkeeping system for delivery of healthcare.
- Prior experience on Epic, GE, or other systems is required.
- Self-motivation, empathy, and stellar interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
- Enthusiasm and desire to participate as a team member and gain a variety of technical skills.
- A history of working in an outpatient setting, preferably in asthma/allergy, ENT, pediatric, or dermatology specialty offices.
- Medical PPO and HDHP/HSA plans.
- Dental PPO.
- Vision.
- Employer-paid Life and AD&D.
- Employer-paid LTD and STD.
- Profit sharing and 401k plan.
- Vacation - 15 days per year (prorated in the first calendar year).
- Sick Time - 1 hour accrued per 40 hours worked.
