Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check in patients and record vital signs, medication history, and review of symptoms list.
  • Conduct preliminary tests as appropriate based on the problem list or patient's presenting symptoms.
  • Enter all data into the EMR system.
  • Perform procedures without error in a timely fashion as ordered by the provider.
  • Responsible for patient education, including medications, care planning, disease process understanding, environmental controls, and device teaching.
  • Document specific take-home messages to the patient in the EMR system.
  • Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
  • Maintain sample medications and printed information for patients.
  • Turn exam rooms to prepare for the next patient.
Requirements
  • Current Washington State LPN or CMA license.
  • Completion of the 7-hour state-mandated AIDS/HIV training program.
  • CPR/First aid for healthcare professionals card.
  • Washington state-insured Medical Assistant certification or registration proof.
  • Comprehension of EMR/HER recordkeeping system for delivery of healthcare.
  • Prior experience on Epic, GE, or other systems is required.
  • Self-motivation, empathy, and stellar interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
  • Enthusiasm and desire to participate as a team member and gain a variety of technical skills.
  • A history of working in an outpatient setting, preferably in asthma/allergy, ENT, pediatric, or dermatology specialty offices.
