About the Role:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by radiation oncologists.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment, identifying and addressing any adverse effects or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of DE (and PA licensure may be required).
  • Two years of nursing experience, with a preference for oncology experience.
  • Advanced nursing degree or certification as an Oncology Nurse (OCN) is preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
