Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Winter Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair company vehicles and equipment, including trucks, plows, and heavy machinery
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups
  • Conduct tests on vehicle systems to ensure proper function
  • Identify and repair mechanical problems, including brake pads, belts, and other critical components
  • Plan and schedule repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Inspect vehicles at job sites and other facilities to ensure they are safe and operational
  • Stay up-to-date with DOT regulations and ensure compliance
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license, CDL B preferred
  • Ability to work long shifts during snow season
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Background in brakes, suspension, exhaust, and emissions, light fabrication, hydraulics, electrical, and diagnostics
