HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and complete patient paperwork, including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
  • Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body requested by physicians.
  • Work as a team player and meet the needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Technologist.
  • Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH)/TMB license.
  • Current registration with ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Advanced certification in MRI required within 6 months of employment.
  • 1 year experience in MRI preferred.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
