Role Overview:

The Quality Resident Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring client satisfaction through effective technical support and quality assurance. This position is essential for maintaining the reputation of our contracted customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture a robust professional relationship with clients at the operational level.
  • Act as the primary representative for the contracted customer, equipped to address production challenges and build credibility through reliable commitments.
  • Facilitate transparent communication between the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the contracted customer.
  • Propose enhancements to both the OEM and the contracted customer to optimize processes.
  • Quickly assess issues at the OEM facility to identify appropriate solutions, preventing claims, and communicate necessary corrective actions to production plants.
  • Provide timely updates to the customer regarding the status and progress of ongoing claims.
  • Engage in customer meetings as required to discuss quality and technical matters.
  • Continuously gather feedback, both formal and informal, to evaluate customer satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Conduct regular audits on how the customer utilizes our products.
  • Stay informed and updated on technical and quality-related topics through ongoing training and interactions with contracted partners.
  • Monitor competitor activities and report any significant initiatives to the TRIGO Resident liaison Manager.
  • Deliver regular reports to the dedicated team or contact partner of the contracted customer.
  • Participate in prototype development, pre-production builds, and engineering changes as necessary.
  • Report internally to the TRIGO Country Resident Manager and externally to designated contacts.
  • Address customer requirements related to technical modifications and provide necessary support.
  • Represent the interests of the contracted partner and the customer.
  • Coordinate on-site repair and sorting activities, ensuring that all actions are authorized in writing by the contracted client.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient mechanical skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of processes and process controls.
  • Experience in implementing standardized work practices.
  • Familiarity with process and product audits.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving operations.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide teams effectively.
  • Experience with sequencing automotive parts is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Tier 1 suppliers is preferred.
