Program Overview

KBR is on the lookout for a proficient Senior Information Systems Security Specialist. This position is essential for delivering vital support for advanced military systems within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

Role Overview

In the capacity of Senior Information Systems Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in sustaining and enhancing network functionalities, acting as a principal point of contact with senior government officials. Your responsibilities will include configuring networks and relevant software to guarantee optimal performance while conducting comprehensive risk assessments prior to implementing modifications that influence the military program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee network administration for local systems, encompassing hardware, firmware, software, and cabling.
  • Support the U.S. Government in managing all IT-related functions within the directorate, including cybersecurity and the administration of IT equipment.
  • Provide configuration management assistance for government-owned devices utilized for accessing both classified and unclassified networks.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and operating system challenges utilizing strong analytical skills.
  • Effectively communicate with management at all levels to plan and execute site management initiatives.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and swiftly adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear and understandable information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, coupled with 5 years of pertinent experience. Alternatively, candidates may possess 13 years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.
  • Must hold and maintain an active DoD Top Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of Security + Certification, or the ability to obtain it within a year of employment.
