We are seeking a highly skilled OB/GYN Hospitalist to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our obstetrical patients in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to obstetrical patients in a hospital setting, including emergency cesarean sections, spontaneous vaginal or operative vaginal births, and postpartum tubal ligations.
- Provide in-house obstetrical coverage of the labor and delivery unit, antepartum and postpartum units, and triage area.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care management to patients without an assigned physician and those requiring emergency obstetric care.
- Provide backup support and surgical assistance to staff Obstetricians as needed.
- Review patient medical history, collect and prioritize comprehensive data, and provide education, consultation, or intervention to patients and their families.
- Practice in a thoughtful manner, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
- Actively participate in case management and cover GYN concerns out of the Emergency Department.
- Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent from an approved medical program.
- Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in OB/GYN.
- Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice.
- BLS Tier 3 - Multisource.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
- Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate.
- Prescription Monitoring Program.
- National Provider Identifier.
