Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician-Gynecologist Hospitalist to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our hospital-based obstetrics team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to obstetrical patients in a hospital setting, including emergency cesarean sections, spontaneous vaginal or operative vaginal births, and postpartum tubal ligations.
  • Provide in-house obstetrical coverage of the labor and delivery unit, antepartum and postpartum units, and triage area.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including education and consultation with patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved medical program.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in OB/GYN.
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN upon hire required.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required.
  • Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required.
  • National Provider Identifier upon hire required.
