Occupational Therapy Assistant

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of an occupational therapist. Your primary responsibility will be to implement treatment plans and provide occupational therapy services to patients, ensuring they achieve their maximum level of independence and function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain consistency with CHRISTUS Health's Administrative and Departmental policies, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and effective communication skills.
• Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to enhance customer/supplier relationships and achieve departmental, hospital, and corporate goals.
• Participate in established inter-departmental and intra-departmental communication systems and methods to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation, adhering to departmental policy and procedures manual.
• Contribute to maintaining/improving the effectiveness of the occupational therapy department's services.
• Attend team meetings, clinical staffing reports, and update patient reports as required.
Requirements:
• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited occupational therapy program, approved by AOTA.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
• Current licensure/registration/certification and proof of indicated requirements.
• BCLS certification required.
Work Type:
This is a per diem as-needed position.
