About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a variety of labor and employment matters, including employment litigation, labor disputes, and compliance with state and federal employment laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent our company in employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour disputes.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on labor and employment issues to ensure compliance with California and federal laws.
  • Develop and implement employment policies and procedures to minimize legal risk.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and disputes.
  • Negotiate and draft employment contracts, separation agreements, and other employment-related documents.
  • Provide training to management and employees on employment law issues.
  • Stay current on developments in employment law and advise management on changes that may impact our company.
Requirements
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Labor and Employment Attorney, with a focus on California Employment Law.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Proven litigation experience, with a strong track record of success in employment law cases.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
