Medical Records Specialist

The Electronic Health Records Coordinator is responsible for preparing, scanning, and indexing medical and legal documents into the electronic health records system at Southwestern Vermont Health Care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and scanning medical and legal documents
- Indexing documents into the electronic health records system
- Performing birth certificate preparation tasks and submitting electronically
- Providing support to the Patient Portal Helpline
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- One year experience in an office environment, preferably in healthcare
- Familiarity with PC and other computer-related systems
- Ability to identify, sort, and file documents while maintaining an organized work environment
- Excellent keyboarding skills and proficiency in reading, writing, and communication
