Medical Records Specialist

The Medical Records Specialist at Dartmouth Health is responsible for preparing, scanning, and indexing medical and legal documents into the electronic health records system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and scanning medical and legal documents
  • Indexing documents into the electronic health records system
  • Providing support to the Patient Portal Helpline
  • Performing other departmental responsibilities

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • One year experience in an office environment required, preferably in healthcare
  • Familiarity with PC and other computer-related systems
  • Prefer experience with Meditech, GE Centricity, and/or other health record systems
  • Excellent keyboarding skills
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communication
  • Ability to identify, sort, and file, maintaining an organized work environment
  • Ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production rates while producing quality work
  • Understanding of the importance of customer service and confidentiality

Work Status: Days, 8am-4:30pm
