Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Powertrain Thermal System Modeling Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our Electric Vehicle Digital Design (EVDD) team, you will play a critical role in developing the next generation of electric powertrain architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an integrated powertrain thermal model to optimize Ford's electric powertrains.
  • Conceptualize and own detailed parametric thermal models of powertrain subsystems.
  • Perform drivetrain system simulation studies and interpret results to select optimal tradeoffs between mass, loss, and cost.
  • Work closely with component design engineers to understand requirements and constraints.
  • Provide quantitatively guided thermal control strategies and cooling architectures for efficient, cost-effective powertrain platforms.

This is a cross-functional role that requires strong collaboration with various teams to drive innovation and growth through electric and connected vehicles and services. As a Senior Powertrain Thermal System Modeling Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and concepts that can be applied across the Ford enterprise.
