As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for managing inventory control systems, processing parts orders, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory control systems, including updating computer records and assisting with audits conducted by Company auditors.
  • Process parts orders, requisitioning from Troy, OH, and following up on purchase orders and correspondence involving back orders.
  • Assist with training or cross-training other individuals in the office, as needed.
  • Verify parts shipments from warehouse, matching packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Process Return Apparatus Tags (RAT) involving warranty claims and verify Warranty and Maintenance credits.
  • Replenish truck inventories and handle parts transfers to other Hobart Branches.
  • Handle over-the-counter parts sales to walk-in customers and assist with various job functions involved in tracking consignment.
  • Prepare reports on order status, parts & material shortages, and maintain bulletins on new products and related parts.
  • Process parts mail orders from customers and handle telephone orders for parts, quoting prices and writing up orders.
Requirements
  • Accredited High School diploma, Business or trade school, or GED.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in Parts or clerical roles, including ordering, shipping, receiving, parts sales, and inventory control.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to handle competing priorities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Physical Requirements: prolonged sitting, extensive phone time, lifting up to 75 pounds, and exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, and wet conditions.
