Job Overview

Cypress HCM is seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services, overseeing receiving, inventory stocking, kitting, and delivery to the shop floor, as well as managing vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Negotiate with Suppliers: Assess suppliers, negotiate contracts, review product quality, and supervise purchasing agents, buyers, and inventory specialists.
  • Purchase Equipment and Services: Purchase equipment, parts, and services to meet the company's needs.
  • Develop and Execute Purchasing Strategies: Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Track and Report Key Metrics: Track and report key functional metrics to ensure the company is meeting its goals.
  • Craft Negotiation Strategies: Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  • Partner with Stakeholders: Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  • Perform Cost and Scenario Analysis: Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to ensure the company is getting the best value.
  • Assess and Mitigate Risks: Assess, manage, and mitigate risks associated with purchasing.
  • Seek and Partner with Reliable Vendors: Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain.
  • Determine Quantity and Timing of Deliveries: Determine the quantity and timing of deliveries to meet the company's needs.
  • Monitor and Forecast Demand: Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure the company is prepared.
  • Track and Follow up on Procurements: Track and follow up on procurements to ensure promised delivery dates are maintained.
  • Manage Receiving, Inventory, and Kitting Operations: Manage receiving, inventory, and kitting operations to ensure a smooth supply chain.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration: A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is required.
  • 10+ Years of Relevant Experience in Purchasing: 10+ years of relevant experience in purchasing is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP Systems: Experience with ERP systems as a management tool is required.
  • Familiarity with Sourcing and Vendor Management: Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and using vendor management software is required.
  • Ability to Gather and Analyze Data: The ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures is required.
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $75,000-85,000 base salary.
